SPSS is an important platform for any statistical analysis. It allows to perform a wide variety of statistical procedures on quantitative data. This software is useful for both researchers sand practitioners. It helps to perform several statistical and econometric analyses. It has wide applications in the field of Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Business Management, Education, Psychology and other fields where statistical analysis is required.

Eligibility: Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 45% of marks will be eligible, for admission to this certification course. The admission is open to all the fourth-semester students pursuing their post-graduate programmes and research scholars of Loyola College.

Course duration: 40 hours

Course objectives:

After completing this course, participants will be

• Capable of identifying relevant statistical techniques for data analysis at different contexts
• Handle the basic data entry and editing in SPSS interface
• Explore data by creating charts, histograms, and box plots
• Perform elementary and advanced statistical analyses
• Capable of interpreting the results of various outputs generated through SPSS
