 The world is becoming increasingly complex, competitive, data-driven, and knowledge-intensive. Loyola’s mission is to make its students globally competent for which they have to be deeply knowledgeable and willing to be lifelong learners. We felt that it was high time we went beyond the existing Research Clinic and brought teachers, research scholars and students of all departments on a synergistic platform that promoted multidisciplinary and offered opportunities for growing together by enriching one another. That is why we evolved Loyola Research Collective (LRC). The overall goal of the LRC is to foster scientific temper, research culture and aptitude among students and faculty members by promoting the practice of learning and growing together

The specific objectives:

  •  Strengthening research as a process to promote engaged learning
  •  Enhancing the understanding of research methodology
  •  Encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives among the students and the faculty
  •  Using research as a platform to engage students on socially relevant topics
  •  Fostering critical thinking and dialogue among students
  •  Facilitating better use of technological tools for quality research

The College posses illustrious standards of research in the field of Social Sciences under the guidance of eminent faculties who have specializations in the field of Sociology, Human Resource Management and Social Work. The College is a recognized research centre of the University of Kerala, offering doctoral programmes in Sociology, Social Work and Management studies
