Loyola Extension Service

Serving the community with dedication and compassion

Loyola Extension Services

Loyola Extension Services (LES) is the Resource cum Outreach Centre of Loyola College of Social Sciences, Trivandrum, with a rich legacy spanning 50 years. Before its formal establishment in 1986, LES initiated community action projects such as adult education and literacy campaigns. In the late 1980s, its community engagement spread wide across Kerala, including the Urban Basic Services for the Poor (UBSP) in Malappuram. The success of interventions in urban slums like Pattom Kesavadasapuram eventually paved the way for "Kudumbasree", one of Kerala's greatest legacies in women's empowerment.

Today, LES has evolved into a multi-dimensional Resource Centre, Social Consultancy, and Multiversity engaged in various programmes and transformative initiatives such as:

Community Organisation & Field Interventions
