About
Loyola Association of Disaster Studies (LADS) is the student association of the department of disaster management, that came into position on 23/06/2021. LADS aims at the advancement of its members as committed social workers in the field of disaster management through meaningful involvements in diverse projects and programmes. It aims to mould the youth into socially responsive citizens capable of engaging with contemporary social and environmental issues with a focus on disaster risk reduction. LADS organises seminars and webinars with experts in the field, providing a platform for vibrant discussions on issues of disaster vulnerability, disaster preparedness, climate change, ecological sustainability and social justice. LADS also envisions engagement with vulnerable communities and capacity building for disaster preparedness.   OBJECTIVES
  1. To develop dedicated professionals in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
  2. To engage with disaster studies with an inter-disciplinary orientation.
  3. To liaise with various organizations for collaborative actions in DRR
The Executive of LADS comprises of nine members namely the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint-secretary, Treasurer, and four executive committee members. There is a staff advisor to guide the association activities.    Major Events
